Coming Home
I'm currently writing from Amsterdam's airport where I have a LONG lay over! I was hoping to take a tour and see the city but they wouldn't let me out of the airport due to not having a visa! I called the Embassy in the US and they assured me that I would get one at the airport! I guess they just didn't wanna work! :oP

As for Tuesday you know what happened with me leaving "K" after a wonderful weekend with her and a lovely dinner with her parent's on Monday night! When I got to DC Tuesday I hung out with a few friends then went to bed! Nothing too fancy!

Wednesday I went shopping in the AM then returned the rental and finally checked in for my flight! So far I'm still "traveling" and will arrive Thursday night! (11PM for those who wanna know!)

Goodbyes Suck
Tuesday afternoon I said goodbye to my best friend "K" who I love like a sister and it was hard! The whole drive from PA to DC (about 2 hours and a half) were nerve wrecking! She sent me a text msg telling me how she started crying after closing the door! She told me that she didn't even move away from the door! In my case I cried while driving! To this day I still have to hold the tears back every time I think about her! There were only 2 things that helped me with my emotions:

1) Talking to "D" on the phone!
2) Listening to Music but even this was hard cause a lot of songs that I listened to or the songs that played on the radio reminded me of "K" and/or talked about the situation I was in!

Gavin DeGraw Lyrics
I don't know how many people out there know Gavin's music so I decided to post 3 of his songs that I can relate to and I dedicate these songs to everyone out there especially someone real special to me and she knows who she is! I love you! :o*

More Than Anyone Lyrics

You need a friend
I'll be around
Don't let this end
Before I see you again
What can I say to convince you
To change your mind of me?
I'm going to love you more than anyone
I'm going to hold you closer than before
And when I kiss your soul, your body'll be free
I'll be free for you anytime
I'm going to love you more than anyone
Look in my eyes, what do you see?
Not just the color
Look inside of me
Tell me all you need and I will try
I will try
I'm going to love you more than anyone
I'm going to hold you closer than before
And when I kiss your soul, your body'll be free
I'll be free for you anytime
I'm going to love you more than anyone
Free for you, whenever you need
We'll be free together baby
Free together baby
I'm going to love you more than anyone
I'm going to hold you closer than before
And when I kiss your soul, your body'll be free
I'll be free for you anytime
I'm going to love you more than anyone
I'm going to love you more than anyone

Belief Lyrics

Belief
Makes things real
Makes things feel
Feel alright
Belief
Makes things true
Things like you
You and I
Tonight, you arrested my mind
When you came to my defense
With a knife
In the shape of your mouth
In the form of your body
With the wrath of a god
Oh, you stood by me
Belief
Builds from scratch
Doesn't need to relax
It doesn't need space
Long live the queen and I'll be the king
In the collar of grace
Tonight, you arrested my mind
When you came to my defense
With a knife
In the shape of your mouth
In the form of your body
With the wrath of a god
Oh, you stood by me
Belief
I'm going to yell it from the rooftops
I'll wear a sign on my chest
That's the least I can do
Tonight, you arrested my mind
When you came to my defense
With a knife
In the shape of your mouth
In the form of your body
With the wrath of a god
Oh, you stood by me
Tonight, you arrested my mind
When you came to my defense
With a knife
In the shape of your mouth
In the form of your body
With the wrath of a god
Oh, you stood by me
And I'll stand by my
Belief

Follow Through Lyrics

Oh, this is the start of something good
Don't you agree?
I haven't felt like this in so many moons
You know what I mena?
And we can build through this destruction
As we are standing on our feet
So, since you want to be with me
You'll have to follow through
With every word you say
And I, all I really want is you
You to stick around
I'll see you everyday
But you have to follow through
You have to follow through
These reeling emotions they just keep me alive
They keep me in tune
Oh, look what I'm holding here in my fire
This is for you
Am I too obvious to preach it?
You're so hypnotic on my heart
So, since you want to be with me
You'll have to follow through
With every word you say
And I, all I really want is you
You to stick around
I'll see you everyday
But you have to follow through
You have to follow through
The words you say to me are unlike anything
That's ever been said
And what you do to me is unlike anything
That's ever been
Am I too obvious to preach it?
You're so hypnotic on my heart
So, since you want to be with me
You'll have to follow through
With every word you say
And I, all I really want is you
(For) you to stick around
I'll see you everyday
But you'll have to follow through
With every word you say
An I, all I really want is you (For) you to stick around
I'll see everyday
But you have to follow through
You have to follow through
You're gonna have to follow
Oh, this is the start of something good
Don't you agree?

PA and NYC
Saturday I drove to PA to see a few friends and ended up going out with them! It was great and enjoyable! The next day (Sunday) my friend "K" and I went to NYC to enjoy an AMAZING concert at the Roseland Ballroom! We saw Joss Stone and Gavin DeGraw and even though I didn't know any of them I really enjoyed the show! Thanks "K" for inviting me!

We didn't have much time to do anything since we got into NYC at about 5ish and the doors were supposed to open at 6:45PM so we tried to get dinner so we ended up going to Planet Hollywood! We left the restaurant at 6:45 and walked around a whole block to find the end of the line to get in! We saw the end of the line before going to the actual doors but thought it was for another show so we kept walking till we reached the end and thought to ourselves that it would have been easier to just wait there instead of walk the distance that we did! Oh well, I guess you could say we burned off some of the food we ate! :oP

Joss Stone seemed like a young Mariah Carey who performed her songs perfectly but she was dramatic between songs and laughed a lot, and blushed once too! I guess the people up front were saying some nice things! Gavin DeGraw was all over the place when he performed! He was on the speaker, on his piano, down in front of the crowd and his stage presence was awesome! I also liked the way he gave an intro to the song he was going to sing! It was funny to see that when Joss performed nothing was thrown on stage but when Gavin performed a lot of things were up there! What made me laugh was he was hit in the face by something green and when he opened up the green ball it ended up being some girl's bra/bikini top!

"K" and I were supposed to stay with a friend in NYC but the friend backed out and I decided to drive back to PA! What should have been a 3 hour trip back ended up being 3 and a half hours! We arrived at 3:30AM! :oP

Nearing The Final Stretch!
Wednesday Continued:

Went to my friend's place but never watched a movie! Instead we got ice cream, went to the park with the kids, and after the park we had a cook out!! I got back all tired and literally crashed as soon as I got home!

Thursday:

Said my final goodbyes to those I know in the "burg"! I had lunch with my friend Nicolle then went shopping for DVDs! Got home early at about 3 and took a nap till about 7! Woke up just to have dinner then go back to sleep again! Now that's what I call relaxing!

Friday:

Dropped the rental off and was driven to Dulles Airport to pick up a different rental! Today my phone was disconnected and when I called to fix it I didn't know that my bill reached KD160! I don't know how that happened, well I do since all my calls are international but my phone should have cut off at KD50 and I should have received a txt msg from my provider! Oh well! When I picked up the second rental I bumped into an old friend who works for the rental agency! She gave me a better car than what I was supposed to get! Called up some people but no one was able to hang out except for my friend Rob! We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in "Tyson's II" then went to his local tavern and finally ended up at his friend's place!

Saturday:

Woke up this morning to the voice of a 4 year old kid who was playing Lego Star Wars or something on PS2! The kid was hyper! He had sooo much energy! I can't wait to have children! :o) As for the rest of my day well I plan to drive up to Pennsylvania and stay with a friend for the night before going to NYC with her tomorrow!

The Saga Continues!
Saturday Evening:

After my shopping spree on Saturday, I met up with a great friend, "K" and her friend "T"! We ended up getting a hotel room due to plans falling through! We got prepared and went out and ended up having a good time!

Sunday:

We went to sleep at about 5:30ish AM and slept till noon! After waking up we showered and got dressed, checked out of the hotel, and went shopping! YES, more shopping for me! We went to Tyson's Corner in Virginia and shopped around! I got a few more things from Armani Exchange and Banana Republic! We were a little exhausted and went over to a friend's apt and took a nap! After the neap we got dresses and went to a benefit rave to support those who are in need due to Katarina! The event was AMAZING and I got my t-shirt signed by Danny Howells (for those of you who don't know who he is well he's a DJ)! BTW Tata, it was your "FBK" t-shirt that I wore and got a lot of compliments for it! After the event my friends passed out at about 4ish AM but I didn't! I couldn't go to sleep at all!

Monday:

I woke my friends up at 11:30 AM according to their request and we said our goodbyes before we went on our different ways! "K" and "T" had to go to PA, while I had to go back to DC since I forgot my phone charger in the hotel room there! I got my charger and headed down to H'burg! I took a shower and went out to dinner with a former professor that taught me! We ended up talking till about 11:30ish PM and that's when I FINALLY felt like I need to sleep! I drove home and passed out!

Tuesday:

Woke up early, at about 8AM, and decided to call it a lazy day! I did 3 loads of laundry and watched TV! My host parents invited a few friends and family members over for a cook out and we had a good time! I wanted to show my friends who came out the t-shirt but I couldn't find it! I looked everywhere and still couldn't find it! When I asked my host mom she told me that she found the t-shirt and washed it! I went crazy! I took the t-shirt out and saw that the autograph has washed away! :`o(

Today (Wednesday 21st of September):

Woke up at 7AM, and left the house at 8 after showering and stuff! I went to the school where I graduated from and took a few more pics as well as talk to more professors! I was supposed to meet people for lunch but that didn't happen so I ended up eating at Panera Bread and used their wireless to post this! Now it's time for me to get going and head to my friend's house to watch a movie and maybe go to the park!

More Fun and Lots of Splurging
After 9 hours of computers I fixed the problem I had with the Laptop and continued on having fun!
I hung out with my friend "N" and talked for a long time! She had a lot to say and I didn't mind listening and giving her my 2 cents!

I had an adventure traveling since I was driving in heavy rain! I'm currently writhing from a hotel room in DC and I'm a tad tired after a full day of shopping and a late lunch at the Cheesecake Factory! MMMMM yummy! I also had a chance to check out the "Old Stone House" which is located in the heart of Georgetown!

As you can see the bags from my shopping spree! A shirt from Lacoste, cargo shorts from A&F, a pair of shoes from the Puma Store, a few things from Urban Outfitters, and finally a few things from French Connection! I love DC, too bad I couldn't spend time with my special someone!

Fun and Computer Issues!
This place has changed! It has grown big time! The school has bought most of the available property around it and has evolved into a city by itself! Anyways, I've rented a car and I have been driving around town taking pics here and there and meeting with friends and professors!

I am currently in this AMAZING coffee shop called The Artful Dodger and it's bringing a lot of memories back! I don't think today is my day cause while trying to reply to comments the connection has been on and off! I haven't had a good 30 minutes with a solid connection! Another thing that happened was that I was burning a CD using iTunes and the $hi&&y program crashed on me! The reason I call it $hi&&y is because when it crashed I can no longer see my DVD writer's icon and I can't access and CD/DVD I put into the drive! If you know how to solve this issue please tell me! I need to burn a few CDs for a friend plus I need my DVD player! :o(

Other than this issue, my vacation is great!

Vacation Update!
Alright people! I know I haven't updated you guys/girls on my vacation so here goes!

Day 1

After having a few guys at the house, Nibaq took me to the airport! I checked in and got everything ready and out of the way before we walked around checking out cell phone prices since I'm thinking about getting the Nokia 6680! Cheapest one we found was KD 140 but it was out of stock! I didn't get to buy the phone (I wish I did though) for 168 at Future and instead Nibaq and I took our laptops to Starbucks and surfed the net before I went to my gates!

I got on the plane and it was empty! Not as empty as I hoped though cause I wasn't able to get a center row to sleep on! Instead I slept on 2 seats! The whole flight from Kuwait to Amsterdam I was pretty much asleep cause it seemed like an old plane that was renovated on the inside! I didn't have my own screen though and so I didn't stay up to see what was being offered!

6 hours later I arrived in Amsterdam and walked around trying to kill the 5 hours before my next flight! I looked at the price of the Nokia 6680 there and it was $890. Big N.O! I figured out that Amsterdam airport is EXTREMELY expensive! I got board of walking around and out of desperation bought an adapter to use on my laptop to kill the last 2 hours before boarding! I boarded the plane and I was excited when I saw the new TVs on each seat!

8 hours later I get into DC and surprisingly it only took me an hour to get through passport check, get my bag, and get through customs! It was an adventure getting my bags though cause it was supposed to come out of carousel 2 but then I saw people get their bags at carousel 3, and some came out of number 6! Mine came out of carousel 3!

2 hour drive to Harrisonburg and I am at my supposed final destination! I had dinner with my host parents and their grand daughter but then I get a phone call from my friend and she asked me to come down to Staunton to spend the weekend with her and her family! I asked my host family to take me down to Staunton, which is a 20 minutes drive, and we get to see my friend's new place! The place is AMAZING! I will describe it later on!

Day 2

Didn't do much except for babysit a 3 week old boy and a 2 year old girl! I also took 4 dogs out and ran around with them in my friend's back yard! I helped clean the house a little but when the evening came around my friends and I came up to Harrisonburg and had a good dinner and after that dinner is when I published my previous post!

Day 3

My friend "S" and I drove down to Richmond VA (a 2 hours drive) with the 2 kids and went shopping for furniture! We went to 1 store and looked around and after we left the store we dropped the 2 year old girl off at her grand parents' house and went back to shopping with the baby boy! During this day I found out the you cannot and I repeat CANNOT find a decent adapter or conversion kit in the US! My laptop and the charger to the digital camera are both 3 prong Asian power plugs and I needed to convert them into 2 prong American plugs! I went to every place that sold electronics and couldn't find a decent converter kit! After my unsuccessful hunt we went back to furniture shopping and "S" found a living room set that she bought! Once we were done we went back to the house, picked up the 2 year old and went home!

Day 4

I did not feel like I was on vacation at this day! I woke up and watched a movie ("The Upside of Anger") and then I was asked to help out! Being a helpful friend I said OK! I didn't realize what I was going to help in until I saw the problem at hand! "S" wanted to move an old dining room set from the top floor to the basement! She didn't realize how bad this would be! Her dad and her husband were at home to help out! She left to go grocery shopping while we tried to move the furniture! The dining room table was pretty easy to move but the china case and the chest of drawers that was underneath were extremely difficult to move! The set was made out of pure Oak wood and it was extremely heavy! Old things were definitely made to last! Once that was taken care of "S", her husband, their 2 kids, and I went to a cook out! After coming back I crashed immediately!

Day 5 (Today)

Took the kids to the babysitter so "S" and I could go to Charlottesville to do some more shopping! We went to "Best Buy" to help me with my issue but nothing could be done but I did buy something for the camera! We then went to the "World Market" where I splurged on myself and bought some European candy/chocolates! After that we went to "Old Navy" where I bought a few pieces of clothing and bumped into a Kuwaiti guy! I saw a guy wearing a jersey that had Kuwait written on it and I had to ask him about where he go it from! He told me he lived in Kuwait and then asked me about why I asked that question! I told him I was Kuwaiti! I introduced myself to him and he did the same! Poor guy wanted to invite me for dinner but since I wasn't staying I told him that I couldn't! Remember I told you that I couldn't find a good converter, well I couldn't find and good cell phones either! I didn't find the Nokia 6680 anywhere! I guess I have to check out DC! Anyways, "S" and I went back to Staunton to pick my things up and then met my host parents! My host parents and I met their grand kids for dinner then proceeded to go home to eat some tasty water mellon! The water mellon was delicious but seemed weird because there were no seeds at all! I received a msg from "K" and called her up and we found out that the person who we were going to stay with in DC has changed his plans and so we have to find someone else to stay with! Finally, I am writing this post to update you guys and girls about my vacation!

Tomorrow

Going to pick up the rental and going around Harrisonburg to take some pics and meet up with friends!

See y'alls later!

Friendship

Where would a person be if she/he didn't have friends? I value friendship and hold it with high regards! My friends mean a lot to me and I do not like to lose them! Good friends are there through thick and thin! They are the shoulder we use to cry on! They embrace our thoughts, mind-set, interests, moods, and so on! They give advice when needed! They relieve all kinds of boredom and stress! I can go on and on but I think you guys already know all this! ;o)

I must admit, since I am human and I'm not flawless, I have a problem! My problem is that I have lots of friends from different areas, backgrounds, and interests that it gets hard for me to stay in touch! I sometimes go through long periods of time without talking to specific friends not because they did something wrong or because they are no longer my friend! As I said I don't like losing friend, but I do sometimes get attached to specific people and go with the flow!

What I'm trying to get to here is that since I'm leaving tomorrow to go to the US and enjoy my vacation, I wanted to tell you guys that I will try hard to keep up with my blog and keep in touch with my friends! I will miss you guys! :o)

Random Videos
Sitting here at work doing pretty much nothing but looking at videos, so I decided to share them with you guys

Fluke Shot - Playing basketball outside the house!

Malaysian Idol - A participant on the Malaysian version of "American Idol"!

Gay Referee - This ref does everything with style! Most of the footage is in reverse but makes it seem like there's more character in what the ref does! (No pun intended)

Transformer - Sweet commercial!

Psycho White Boy - This guy needs Anger Management

Political Interview - I feel sorry for the person who was interview! See what happens to him and his site!

As for those of you who are asking why I have nothing to do at work it's because I've done everything I have to while my Boss and Co-workers were gone and now that they are back they are doing the work while I wait for feed back and see if they need assistance! Seems like I did a good job cause I'm not called to do anything! I wonder if they need help while I'm gone on vacation!

Long Weekend!
This past weekend was something else! Other than the government giving us an extra day to enjoy making a 2 day weekend into a 3 day weekend, the weekend was amazing! Thursday, I helped out with organizing an event at a local resort that was newly renovated and the event started at 10PM and went on till about 3AM! Some of the people who came to the event rented out villas/challets at the resort and stayed there till the pool party started on Friday between noon and 12:30! The pool party continued until 7PM with DJ's playing under their tent and all you can eat food under another tent!! Everyone at some point jumped into the pool, a few put their tanning lotions on and laid under the sun, some people ordered themselves a sheesha by the pool, lots of dancing and laughing were apparent amongst each group! Thanks to the major organizers and everyone that helped out! This should be done again! Saturday was used to relax and hang out with the family!
