I know I haven't been posting anything but that's just due to being over worked by both the private sector and the government! I do have to admit some laziness, but I do need some relax time when working for those two! :oP
I have so many things I want to write about but I will refrain from writing them all in one post and I will actually spread them out into 3 separate posts!
TOPIC 1 : Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim (Bo Ali)
Everyone knows that elections are here and people are running around trying to get things done! Due to the fact that a person cannot do anything by himself/herself, the work is delegated to specific committees! The issue I would like to talk about and shed some light on regards the photograph below and all the misunderstanding, confusion, anger behind it!
The committee in charge of the campaign's information distribution and advertising (lajnat al-i3lam) had the company who printed the posters that are placed in the neighborhood which Mr. Al-Ghanim is running for and the actual engineer decided to use the pic that people say was fake and made up! Mr. Al-Ghanim has many pictures of this photograph, some of which are actual photographs and some that are painted! The engineer from the printing firm decided to go for the clearest picture that he got his hands on, which was the picture that everyone is mad about! The reason for the engineer selecting that pic was because it was a picture that was painted in color and the clearest one from the selection! The painting was given to the Al-Ghanim family as is, without Mr. Al-Khaled and it was not altered by the Al-Ghanim family or by Marzooq!
Mr. Al-Ghanim was extremely upset about what happened and he talked to the Al-Khalid family regarding this mishap and apologized! The Al-Khalid family said that it was ok and that he shouldn't worry! They also told him that he can keep the posters up! He refused and apparently he's in the process of changing them!
I hope this explanation of what happened fulfills everyone's curiosity and releases everyone from their anger! The whole thing was just a flaw in the process! |
People always overreact in Kuwait and find criticism where none was intended.
