Hurtful Words

You know the saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me!" tends to be true to a point! That point has been crossed tonight! Someone very dear to me really hurt me by saying a few things which that person really meant! Usually, people can say extremely horrid things to me and I would take it with a grain of salt but not tonight! That wasn't the case today! :o(

I am currently devastated and was for the last two hour because of what was said to me and I can't get over it! Seems like it's always the person that's closest to you or the person you least expect to hurt you that causes you most of the pain you will ever feel even though if it is just words!

sadly i understand what you mean...happened to me once in a while...all i have to say is express it out...and then forget the words...but realisticly it will always replay itself in your mind...i've done so myself....all i can say to cheer you up is smile and words can be meaningless from the ones you dont know but they are meaningful from the ones that leave you in pain...hmm come to think of it that wasnt cheerful...here we go again hope this helps you out....smile words may seem to break your spirits but your smile wakes the presence ;)...

    Your Battlefield: Thanks for trying!

Laialy_Q8: I'm thinking of doing something extremely drastic cause of what was said!

Delicately Realistic: I'm trying to but I just can't! What was said was extremely mean and the person who said it wasn't being considerate as to what I had to go through the past few days!

    Welcome to the club
1-at least it was said to your face not behind your back
2-no one has the rite to insult you,,,
3-if they were close to you or you to them they would not have done that you, there are other ways to convey things
4-cheer up and time will heal everything
5-surround your self with positive ppl

    sorry that your upset

Mosan Mosan: I can surround myself with a positive atmosphere but that won't help my inner feelings! The damage is deep! I might act happy and pleasant amongst others but alone I'm drowning in emotional turmoil!

JC: Actually what I am thinking of doing is extremely drastic on my part but I don't know!

Laialy_Q8: Usually what people say doesn't bother me! I always have two phrases ready about such things which are:

    "Illi mo 3ajba, khal i6ig rasa 3a6ofa"

    OR

    "6aga or 6agha midfa3"

But this situation is totally different!

I actually went through this with people who looking back at things now, thought were my best friends. They say: “keep friends close but enemies closer”, true! With a friend, mafi boundaries and they know you inside out & if that friendship was built on frail roots, it will snap with the first pressure it encounters. Just take it easy, think of it as their loss and just move on!

chikapappi@yahoo.com: Welcome to my blog and as for your advice, I thank you for it but I have to admit it will be hard for me to move on because of the way the person expressed the words!

Anonymous: I'm guessing you and chikapappi@yahoo.com are the same person and again I would like to thank you!

7asa fek, bes ilwa7id shesawy? Most people are insensitive to those people that are most sensitive to other peoples feelings. Why?
    I don't know why.

Delicately Realistic said: But family members should hear out what people have to say and not just hurt others! I tried explaining my situation but the person wouldn't hear me out and other people who knew my situation tried to inform the person as well as other and everyone heard what I had to go through except for the person who did all the hurting!
