Housing Issues |
In the same local paper that had the piece about the "Tropical Island" there was news about a housing dispute between the owner of a house and a man who's renting out the property! Apparently the dispute has been going on for a while where the owner wants the tenant to leave the property but the tenant refuses to do so! The owner decides to dig up the front yard of the house even though the tenant is paying rent for the first floor of the house and the front lawn! After the land has been dug out the tenant's family are stuck in the house while the tenant is stuck on the street! That would be bad coming home after work and being in this position! What would you do in this situation? What is your point of view on the whole thing?

Forzaq8: Funny, but the tenant might be the one who's wrong! I would like to see the leasing/renting contract!

Although I sympathize with the tenant, but I think it is his fault in the first place. He could have prevented it by leaving, afterall it is not his house. Besides, legally the owner is entitled to do whatever he wants with his property, and if he wishes to pull his house down or burn it, then it is his right.

Harsh way of getting back at him don't you think so?

Just sad. Leave god damn it. why would you want to go thru all this headaches for something you don't even own?? it's a move sooner or later do it now.

Shosho: I agree with you to a point. I agree that the tenant should have left but I don't agree to the owner having the right to do what he wants to the property if he is renting it out to someone unless that is what's speculated in the contract! As I said, I would like to see that contract!
JC: Kayfa! Kuwaiti! :oP
Reema: Hard and stupid! Now the Baladiya (municipality) is getting on the owner's case as well as the contractor that dug up the place!
***diamon***: You are right!
