Should I Pull Whatever's Left of My Hair Out of My Head |
God work was hectic today! I got there at 6:45 and for the first time my manager was there at 7! Ever since he showed up it was non-stop running around! I'm leaving to Saudi Arabia on Saturday for a business trip and I worked real hard for the last 2 months to get everything prepared! I was working with the hopes that the "Arab" mindset will not come into play but unfortunately it did!
What's the "Arab" mindset well, that's when Arabs postpone work till the last second causing everyone to be late and/or delegating work to be done by other Arabs who in turn procrastinate or leave to go on a mission/trip without taking care of their work! Each firm attending the meeting was supposed to give us all the paperwork that will be discussed 2 weeks before the meeting! Today we received documents from an Arab nation in Africa and from a firm here in Kuwait! This means that we have to run 30 new copies of a files worth of papers! We are looking at a stack of papers which is about 2 to 3 inches high! Keep in mind you have to multiply it by 30! What a waste of paper! Why couldn't we just put them on a CD!
The firm I work for has a 30 minute coffee/tea break that I didn't take advantage off well other than to cut and paste the results of today's quizzes that I took a few days ago! Not only that but I worked till 3 when in actually work ends at 2:15! Another thing is that I have to go into work tomorrow, on my weekend! AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! One good thing is that we took care of pretty much everything except for getting the file copied 30 times! My manager, the technician in charge of the photo copy machine and binding and I will start work at 10! I just wish I get paid overtime!
JC sent me a msg about going out tonight and I gladly agrees! I wish "D" would be able to come out as well! I'd love to just see her and come back to reality! Oh yeah I forgot to mention that I think I'm senile right now due to being over-worked! For God's sake I didn't even get to read today's newspaper and I had to drink cold cup of tea!

"What Kind of Kisser Are You?" |
Part Shy Kisser | You *do* love to kiss, once your comfortable with it And that means knowing the person you're kissing pretty well You usually don't make the first move when it comes to making out But you've got plenty of intensity in return | Part Romantic Kisser | For you, kissing is all about feeling the romance You love to kiss under the stars or by the sea The perfect kiss involves the perfect mood It's pretty common for kisses to sweep you off your feet |
*BLUSH* VERY TRUE AND I HAVE NOTHING TO ADD TO IT! *BLUSHING SOME MORE*

"What Are The Keys to Your Heart?" |
The Keys to Your Heart
|
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free. |
In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored. |
You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy. |
You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance. |
Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets. |
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. |
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred. |
In this moment, you think of love as something you don't need. You just feel like flirting around and playing right now. |
This quiz was weird since it made me select from animals I wanted to be! Granted I selected "Horse" where I could and these are my results!
I agree with a few points but I really disagree with the last one! Love is something everyone needs and there is nothing I won't do to keep the relationship I'm in now going!
As for the whole issue on breaking up, I don't think that's true! Breaking up on something like that is petty! A relationship has to have such flaws in order to work. These flaws are what bonds the two people together by making the couple talk to one another, express their feelings and emotions, and encourage one another by means of support!

"What Kind of Friend Are You?" |
You Are A Good Friend |
You're always willing to listen
Or lend a shoulder to cry on
You're there through thick and thin
Many people consider you their "best friend"!

"Calling All Friends"
I TOTALLY agree with this quiz and I was wondering if you guys think of me in the same light as to what the quiz results came up to be! |

"How Extroverted Are You?" |
Your Extroversion Profile: | Cheerfulness: Very High | Friendliness: Very High | Excitement Seeking: High | Sociability: High | Activity Level: Medium | Assertiveness: Low |
I totally agree with this quiz and I have noticed a change as to how extroverted I am! When I lived in the U.S my "Activity Level" was at Very High and so was my "Sociability." The reason for the change was that when I moved back to Kuwait, I no longer play soccer 3 times a week for 3-5 hours each time, and I don't have my other activities that I enjoyed there! Inshallah when things here change then my levels with go back to normal! :oP |

"Who's The True You?" |
The True You | You want your girlfriend or boyfriend to be more relaxed, calm, and composed. | With respect to money, you spend whatever you have. | You think good luck might come your way, but if it does you'll be so surprised you'll burst out laughing. | The hidden side of your personality tends to be a little selfish. You only do what interests you. | You are tend to think about others' feelings a lot, perhaps because you are so eager to be liked. | When it comes to finding a romantic partner, you will search and search until you find your perfect match. |
I think this is true especially the second point about spending money, except for the following:
1) I think I already found my "Romantic Partner" 2) I always want to be liked but I am considerate and enjoy seeing people smile and feel good! 3) My "selfish" side comes out but rarely! 4) I don't expect good luck all the time but that doesn't hurt though! 5) As for my gf I enjoy her being "relaxed, calm, and composed" but I also like a little party animal in her! ;o) |

"What Does Your Birth Date Mean?" |
Your Birthdate: January 16 |
Your birth on the 16th day of the month gives a sense of loneliness and generally the desire to work alone.
You are relatively inflexible, and insist on your being independent.
You need a good deal of time to rest and to meditate.
You are introspective and a little stubborn.
Because of this, it may not be easy for you to maintain permanent relationships, but you probably will as you are very much into home and family.
This birth day inclines to interests in the technical, the scientific, and to the religious or the unknown realm of spiritual explorations.
The date gives you a tendency to seek unusual approaches and makes your style seem a little different and unique to those around you.
Your intuition is aided by the day of your birth, but most of your actions are bedded in logic, responsibility, and the rational approach.
You may be emotional, but have a hard time expressing these emotions.
Because of this, there may be some difficulty in giving or receiving affection. |
What Does Your Birth Date Mean?I do not agree with any of the results of this quiz! For those of you who know me please comment on what your point of view is! Thanks!

"What Year Were You Born Under?" |
You Were Actually Born Under: | Full of spunk, you are the original party animal. You bring fun, activity, and stimulation to any event. Self-control is not one of your strong points; you have been known to over indulge. Cheerful and energetic, you can turn the most boring thing into something fun.
You are most compatible with a Rat or Dragon. | You Should Have Been Born Under: | Delicate, timid, and attractive - sometimes you really do act like a bunny. You're very compassionate and protective of those you love, sometimes too protective. Your home is really your castle, and you make sure your home is comfortable and well furnished. You don't like to argue - and you prefer a quiet, peaceful life.
You are most compatible with a Goat or a Pig. |
I totally am born under a Monkey! Ask any of my friends and they will tell you! I also agree with the traits found in the Bunny, they are apparent in me as well!
The "delicate, timid, and attractive" is true especially when I'm going to a place where I don't know anyone! I try to look nice by dressing up and I tend to be shy when I don't know anyone!
"Compassionate and protective of those you love, sometimes too protective." Very true of me! I'd do anything for a friend and I don't like to see them hurt!
"Your home is really your castle, and you make sure your home is comfortable and well furnished." I would love a comfortable house but can't afford it so I live with my parents! ;P I would set up my room the way I want it but as I said.... I can't afford it! "You don't like to argue - and you prefer a quiet, peaceful life." I hate arguing and so I try to avoid it but sometimes it gets hard! I'm the type of person that would stop in the middle of an argument and shut up and walk away!

Age Quiz |
I took this quiz and I answered every question honestly! The result is my exact age, 25! Weird!
You Are 25 Years Old |
25
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.
13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.
20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.
30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!
40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Friends in Low Places |
After writing and bloging my "The Weekend" post yesterday I couldn't help but think of one song by Garth Brooks! That song was in my head the whole day until I went to bed that night! I woke up this morning and the song was still in my head so I decided to put it on here! Here goes: Blame it all on my roots I showed up in boots And ruined your black tie affair The last one to know The last one to show I was the last one you thought you'd see there And I saw the surprise And the fear in his eyes When I took his glass of champagne And I toasted you Said "Honey we may be through But you'll never hear me complain" (Chorus) 'Cause I've got friends in low places Where the whiskey drowns And the beer chases my blues away And I'll be okay I'm not big on social graces Think I'll slip on down to the Oasis Oh, I've got friends in low places (INSTRUMENTAL BREAK) Well I guess I was wrong I just don't belong But then, I've been there before Everything's alright I'll just say goodnight And I'll show myself to the door Hey, I didn't mean To cause a big scene Just give me an hour and then Well, I'll be as high as that ivory tower That you're livin' in (Chorus) EVERYBODY! (Chorus) (SPOKEN) (Pause) What?!?! (Pause) You guys... already know what's comin', don't ya? And ya know what... you're right. You're exactly right. What would a Garth Live album be without the live version of Friends In Low Places? Because it's only here where you can find that mysterious third verse that goes on the end of that song. But, does anybody know the words to that verse? That's what I wanna know. Well, in that case I think the friends in low places should sing that third verse. This outta be good. Alright, here we go... (SUNG BY CROWD) Well I guess I was wrong I just don't belong But then I've been there before Everything's alright I'll just say goodnight And I'll show myself to the door Hey, I didn't mean To cause a big scene Just wait till I finish this glass And sweet little lady I'll head back to the bar GIVE IT TO ME!!! And you can kiss my ass! (SUNG BY GARTH) 'Cause I've got friends in low places Where the whiskey drowns And the beer chases my blues away And I'll be okay I'm not big on social graces Guess I'll slip on down to the Oasis Oh, I've got friends in low places NOW IT'S ALL YOU GUYS (SUNG BY CROWD) 'Cause I've got friends in low places Where the whiskey drowns And the beer chases my blues away And I'll be okay I'm not big on social graces Think I'll slip on down to the Oasis Oh, I've got friends in low places (SUNG BY GARTH) I've got friends in low places Where the whiskey drowns And the beer chases my blues away And I'll be okay I'm not big on social graces Guess I'll slip on down to the Oasis Oh, I've got friends in low placesHoney, I've got friends in low places... |

The Weekend |
Where should I start! I think Wednesday should be a good day to start off! ;oP Wednesday: After work I went home and relaxed for a bit before going out to the lousy party at The Palms! Thursday: I invited "D" and her sister over to my place for a dip in the pool and a movie! We had a few hours of fun in the in the pool and once we were done we dried off and had an early dinner! That dinner was supposed to be lunch but due to unforeseen circumstances "D" and her sister ("A") had to show up later than expected! Therefore, they had "Machboos Diyay" for an early dinner and "A" wanted to watch Kingdom of Heaven, so we did! Lots of fun! I have to admit I was exhausted and actually took a small nap towards the end of the movie but "A" apparently watched the whole thing! Friday: I was invited to a "boat party," which you could read about in Jazz Central's blog named Friday was AMAZING!" Since the boat trip didn't happen, I invited the people over to my place! For the first hour we watched music video clips from 1992 that were recorded by "The Video Club" (a video store similar to that of Blockbuster in the US but on a smaller scale!) Once we were through with that tape we watched a small clip of a Tom & Jerry cartoon from the same era and then headed to the pool! The pool was soo much fun, with people jumping off the diving board, throwing each other in, and throwing around a ball that went out onto the street a couple times! As for food, we used what we had for the boat trip as appetizers and had a cook-out with burgers and hotdogs! YUMMY! Someone got "sheared" or in other terms "shaved like a sheep" but I will let you adventure into the world of Blogs and find out who it was! *GRIN* One of the guests came without a swim suit so I had to lend him a pair! After trying 2 pairs that turned out to be a tad small the third one fit! It sure was a HOT day but the cool temperature of the water made everyone forget about how HOT it was! Yes, if you read JC's blog, people (2 individuals) were thrown into the pool with their clothes on! HEHEHE The day turned out to be great and I'm glad we all had fun! To be honest, without this group I don't think the day would have turned out that well! I have to thank everyone who came and inshallah we will be able to do this again! For those who left before we went down to the pool, you missed out and it would have been nice if you actually stayed! We missed the presence of a special someone, RP! :oP Well, enough about this weekend, it's time to get back to work even though I can't stop thinking of the events that occurred yesterday! I LOVE MY FRIENDS! |

Palms Party Sucked |
Last night I was in need to go out and enjoy a night out with my friends! When I got there it was already about and hour and a half into the event! The resident DJs of Buddha Bar Paris and Lebanon were supposed to be spinning at the event! The whole night it felt weird! The first hour I was there had and Indian (Desi) like feel to it, typical of Buddha Bar but then it just went downhill from there! I think Buddha Bar Paris went on first and Buddha Bar Lebanon ended the night!
The music was horrible! I came to listen to dance music that isn't played in Kuwait! The majority of the time it was Arabic songs that I heard before on the Arabic stations here in Kuwait! I have to admit that there were tiny parts between the songs that made me wanna get up and dance but as soon as I got up to dance the music began to suck again! I wasted KD30 for no reason! I was told there was a gift bag that included a Wataniya line, gift voucher at the spa, and "other goodies" but all I got was a lousy 15% off at the spa!
I saw parents and their kids for God's sake! Oh and not to mention I was looking forward to catered food but it was terrible! (Asta`3fir Allah) The only part of the whole buffet that I enjoyed was the bread! The humus was bad, mashwiyat even worse, and no need to go on cause I'm losing my appetite as I type!
Well time for me to stop since I'm getting frustrated at something soo petty and that's already historic so I think I'm gona hop into the pool! |

Firefox VS. IE |
I was tweaking my template and actually perfected the size but when I was done I asked a few friends to check it out and they always told me that my template was messed up since the side-bar appears all the way on the bottom and not on the side! I did everything I could to fix it but the problem would not go away! It finally hit me that my friends were using IE and I was using Firefox! While I was using Firefox everything was great but when I used IE myself, I saw what my friends were talking about! I had to use IE to fix this issue and I actually got it done! Sweeeet! :) I still have to say that IE sux and Firefox is way more superior! Thanks to "3aw 3aw" for pointing me to a browser that is superior to all others! |

Today has been long already! I feel like it's 2:15 already and I have to get off work! I'm contemplating on going to the Khateeb Clinic (3iyadat Al-5a6eeb) to get my horse tranquilizer shots! :$ I think 3 days of shots will make me feel much better so I can enjoy the weekend! They might not make me feel good at least today and tomorrow but by the day after tomorrow I should be fit to run the Triple Header in a row! :P
I might write some more later on before work or after I get home!
To be continued....

Movie Night |
Last night was great! I spent time with "D" watching "A Love Song for Bobby Long" staring John Travolta and Scarlett Johansson! It's amazing how 2 people alone watching a movie, without interruptions and censorship, can turn out to be a wonderful, memorable, and loving experience!
The movie was great but the spending QT with "D" was even better! I wish we can spend such nights watching movies in a loving atmosphere anytime we wanted to!

While going through the news aggregate a few weeks ago I noticed that [The B-Sides] was talking about Best Buy coming to Kuwait! Well I guess that rumor is some-what true! !!! WISH LIST !!! |
Just a few things I would like to have! Seems like many people are putting up their wish lists so I decided to put mine up even though it might be far-fetched for me to get some of these items! I hope you enjoy the pics though as much as I do! :P PETS Below are some of the pets I lived with while studying in the US! I would love to have pets again especially an American Bulldog (the big dog with the 2 pics below)! CARS I really want this roadster! There are only 66 Alpina RLE's in the world! This vehicle was based upon the BMW Z1 roadster but it has a little more horsepower! Granted I would prefer a different color I won't say no to red though! This is what I want for my next car! A BMW X5 4.8is Individual Maritime Edition! The only difference is that I want to get the 2006 model that has the longer look with the extra row of seats! BOATS AND YACHTS Below is the "Wally Tender!" I'd love this little speed boat! Just looking at it makes me drool! Now the item I really dream of!! The "Wally 118" which in my point of view is the best yacht in the world! I don't think anything can get more luxurious than this! |

Overdue Post |
I usually tend to post something on a daily basis but Wednesday, after work, I got home and found my laptop "DEAD"! The OS (operating System) could not be found and if you restarted the computer the OS would seem to be loading but you would not be able to actually get in! When I took the Laptop to the dealer to get it looked at, the technition told me that the issue might be that the HD (Hard Drive) is messed up! That scared me since the My Documents folder is about 30GB! He asked if I wanted anything backed up and I said "YES!" So he told me that it wasn't a big deal and that he would put what I wanted on a CD! Then I told him about the 30GB of data that I would like to keep and he was amazed! I know most of you are saying that I should have backed up my info! Trust me I was, I got a new "toy" which was an external HD so I can put all those files in and not worry about them but when I came home to do the transfer my computer was fried! The technition also told me that if they have to order a new HD then it will take 3 weeks! Good thing I bought the "Extended Warranty" with the Laptop!

Relationships and Family! |
Why do families here always make a big issue about people we see? Fear has set in now that people have brought the parents into the picture! I've never thought of this situation before but I've seen it happen to others! Family members intervening to bring a relationship to an end! WHY? I know many parents are looking out for the well-being of their kids but don't you think that is going overboard?
Would someone please tell me what you would do if you were in a relationship that a parent frowned upon due to the person you are dating's nationality!

Car Accident |
I left work to go to Souq Sharq to run an Errand when I passed by this accident! About a week ago a co-worker and 2 members of his family passed away due to a car accident and I just wanted to use this post to show how accidents in Kuwait can get really messy! To all those who read this post, please be careful while driving. It's not necessarily you who's going to initiate the accident but you have to worry about the other drivers around you!
Sorry for the pool quality but I was on the move while quickly snapping the photo without looking at the actual scene! |

Kuwait VS. Saudi Arabia |
WE DESERVED TO LOSE! Kuwait played like a group of children! No communication, ill mannered, cocky, and shall I go on...? The only player worth praising was our goal keeper! I have to admit, at first I thought the Saudi Arabians were merely acting by falling over and the ref was being too harsh but then I saw the way the Kuwaiti players tackled the Saudi's and tugged on their shirts and I told myself, "Our team deserves to be carded and the players who left deserved to be kicked out!" Granted I still don't know why the second player was red carded! The problem with our soccer system is that we have lousy recruiters. I've seen kids play in the street that have better skills at soccer than the players on our team! Another thing is that there's no incentive to be on the team and it's probably very political once you get into the team! I wonder if those kids actually join the team but end up hating to play with the team due to lousy coaching or something of that nature. Finally I want to point out my main reason as to why our team is soo shitty and that reason is due to the team not playing from the heart! The players just play because they get paid to play. Back in the day when my dad used to play soccer he mentioned that they didn't care what they were paid. All they cared about was to do their best and increase the nation's status as a country that has a great sporting system! Now you can tell that people play to get paid without putting any heart or genuine effort to win. PLUS, you can tell when a game is rigged by either the teams themselves or by the refs. They didn't do that back in the day! Don't get me wrong, last night's game wasn't rigged at all! The refs did their job but we failed to do ours!

Bad Timing and Organization |
Today a group of co-workers put together a document that had a few suggestions concerning work and they wanted to present that document to the department manager! A few of us read, agreed, and signed the document but when we went to hand the document over to the manager and discuss it, it was too late! The manager left his office before we got there! I told the co-workers we should go early but they didn't listen! Another timing issue that kinda bothers me is when people say that they are going to meet up at a specific time and end up not to! To be honest it gets on my nerves when I'm late and it sometimes pisses me off when others are late! I have only one problem today though and that's the fact that I'm mad at the person but can't help calm myself down! With anyone else I would probably blow up or decide not to meet and do other things! I usually don't wait more than 15 minutes for someone to meet up! Good friends might have about a half hour and if they are lucky then we would still meet up but at other times I won't meet up till the next day! All I'm trying to say is that when someone says that they will meet up at a specific time then that should be accomplished! If the person cannot make the specified time then a phone call would do nicely just to inform me that the person is going to be late! Is that soo hard?
